Gobustan (Qobustan)
Sixty km south of Baku, on an area of 537 hectares, there is one of the world's largest ancient petroglyphs collections counting more than 4,000 petroglyphs. In the Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve one can see the settlements of the ancient people, the remains of the large prehistoric Stone Circle and other evidences of the Stone Age and later inhabitants of the region. Gobustan petroglyphs were repeatedly investigated by the famous Norwegian explorer and adventurer Thor Heyerdahl, who recognized local boats petroglyphs as the oldest known images of pirogue in the world. |

Just like magmatic volcanoes, they can erupt powerfully and hurl flames to great heights (sometimes even several hundred of meters). Mud volcanoes also exist on the floor of the sea and can form islands and banks that alter the topography and shape of the coastline and even trigger earthquakes. |

The village's carpet and rug crafts are also well known in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus. Lahij has an old sewage system (some experts claim that it was built 1000 - 1500 years ago). |

Sheki Genje
After breakfast we will drive to Genje (second biggest city of Azerbaijan)After your breakfasts is about 9:00 a.m. start the way to second largest city in Azerbaijan in Ganja. Arrival at 13:00 and check-in to Ganja Hotel. Rest/ independent lunch. After the lunch start tour in Ganja. You will be picked up

to mount Kazbegi. Mount Kazbek, is a one of the major mountains of the Caucasus
located on the border of Kazbegi District of Georgia and North Ossetia. It is
the third highest mountain in Georgia (after Mount Shkhara and Janga) and the
seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains. Kazbegi is steeped in legend:
the ancient Greeks believed that Prometheus was chained to the rocky flanks of
the mountain as a punishment for stealing fire from the Gods and giving it to
mortals, while Christian legend tells that the manger of Christ was brought to
Kazbegi and is still hidden somewhere hereabouts. Whether you believe these
tales or not, climbing the mountain is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Gudauri Kutaisi
After breakfast drive to second largest city of Georgia founded about 40 centuries ago, former capital of the west Georgian Kingdom Colkhics, to which is related the myth of Golden Fleece and Argonauts. Visiting to Bagrati Temple Bagrati Cathedral is an 11th century cathedral church perched atop the Ukimerioni Hill. The cathedral is now in ruins, but is still considered a masterpiece of Georgian medieval architecture. the Bagrati Cathedral, combined with the Gelati Monastery are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After here visiting to Gelati Monastery is a monastic complex near Kutaisi, Imereti, western Georgia. It contains the Church of the Virgin founded by the King of Georgia David the Builder in 1106, and the 13th - century churches of St George and St Nicholas. Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi.

be picked up and driving to Gori. Visiting Joseph Stalins House Museum. The
Joseph Stalin Museum is a museum in Gori, Georgia dedicated to the life of
Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union, who was born in Gori. The museum
has three sections, all located in the towns central square. It was officially
dedicated to Stalin in 1957. With the downfall of the Soviet Union and
independence movement of Georgia, the museum closed in 1989, but has since been
reopened, and is a popular tourist attraction. Return to Tbilisi. Dinner and
overnight in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi Lahij
After breakfast at the
hotel on the way to the Georgian - Azerbaijani border we visit Gremi complex.
Gremi is a 16th - century architectural monument - the royal citadel and the
Church of the Archangels - in Kakheti, Georgia. The complex is what has
survived from the once flourishing town of Gremi and is located east of the
present - day village of the same name in the Kvareli district, 175 kilometers
east of Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. Visit Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi. Lagodekhi is a
small town and district in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. There is a
border crossing there leading to Azerbaijans Balakan Province. Lagodekhi Nature
Reserve, established in 1911, is situated in this area. From the border we
continue our trip to the town of Sheki. Dinner and overnight in Sheki.

We will have an excursion
around the city. Visit to Palace of Sheki Khans (XVIII A.D.) where is the most
outstanding and valuable monument of the 18th century Azerbaijan. Also we will
viist the resort zone "Markhal" and fortress
"Galarsan-Gorarasan". Dinner and overnight in Karvansaray Hotel in
Sheki.

Icheri Sheher (Old City), the historical center of Baku, is where most traditional street festivities take place. Though early in the morning, the narrow streets are full of people. Tents are set up to offer souvenirs and picture opportunities in national costumes. Families are standing in lines by the manghals5, enveloped in kebab smoke. A stage stands in front of the Maiden Tower6for dance performances, and crowds are eager for the show to start. Something looks different though, something right in front of our eyes. A square behind Gosha Gala Gapi, the main city gates, has become a fairground with a traditional Novruz wrestling show. Breakfast and departure to Qusar Gusar district is located in the southeast of Azerbaijan. This is a land of mountains and valleys. The name of "Gusar” origins from the tribe of "khisar”. The highest peak of Azerbaijan Bazarduzu Mountain (4466 m) is in the territory of this district. Gusar is noted for its rich flora; 20% of the territory is covered with the forests. Deciduous trees are widely distributed here. Such valuable species, as oak, beech, hornbeam etc grow here. Woods are being in full abundant with wild growing fruit trees and medicine herbs, such as: aglet, horsetail, blackberry, nettle, dog rose, sumac, plantain, etc. State reserve at the area of 15000 ha is allocated in the territory of Gusar district; there is maintained beech forest named "Alistan-baba” near the settlement of Urva at the area of 7ha.
